Please check out the links below and petition Congress to repeal the unreasonable fees for independent internet radio stations. If these fees aren't rolled back internet radio will soon be as lame as terrestrial radio,
peace out and please help,

bdc manifesto & links

Load up your mental transport apparatus, it's blast off time!
The BUREAU of DISSONANT CULTURE is a network for underground artists, dj’s & musicians. One of the main jobs of this network is to combat the increasing isolation artists feel from a sense of geographical community. This lack of community is due in part to the rising costs of urban studio space and that the main interest of most venues is putting asses in seats and beers in hands, not nurturing the growth of artists in their local scene. The BDC looks to fill this void by sticking to it’s founding concepts of bringing artists together so they can more efficiently promulgate true underground art and culture, as well as facilitate mutual growth through shared ideas and connections. *(cont’d below links)

*Many BDC members are graduates of the New Brunswick/Central NJ music scene, as well as of Rutgers University. After emigrating from New Brunswick to larger cities in the U.S., Europe & Asia, to immerse themselves in their respective creative scenes, many found that the commercialization of the underground that defined the 90's didn't just affect their small scene back in Jersey, but virtually all of the once strong independent scenes across the country. It appeared that making waves where you don't have roots can be as hard as getting noticed in the middle of nowhere (i.e. a college town), especially when your art does't fit into any of the teen dollar driven pop-alternative-to-nothing genres. So they decided to unite in their efforts to disseminate their underground artistic culture, not to the masses, but to the demimondes that have the open minds and ears to receive their transmissions. We work for the love of creating and not for the love of profit or fame. Hopefully this links page will make it easier for you to keep track of our continuing efforts.
